The Municipality of Rankin Inlet is requesting Proposals from qualified persons of Port Facility Planning and Design, and Barge off Loading Laydown Area engineering consulting services.
Sealed proposals for the above project will be accepted until 3:00pm local time Friday February 18th, 2011 at the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet. Proposals must be marked, “Proposal for Facility Planning and Design Services, Marine Development and Lay Down Area, Rankin Inlet, Project #1” on the outside of the envelope or package.
Please note: The NNI of the GN shall apply to this project.
Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Nunavut Carvingstone Deposit EvaluationCommunity Consultations

Dept. of ED&T is holding a community meeting to gather information and locations of carvingstone in the Rankin Inlet area.
Everyone is welcome to the meeting to hear about the project and will be given the opportunity to contribute to this project.
Hunters, carvers, prospectors and those who have gathered their own carvingstone are especially welcomed. Refreshments will be served.

On Thursday January 20th from 5-10pm, the Department of Environment in conjunction with Nunavut Fine Furs will be holding a Pelt Handling Workshop.
Their focus will be on:
- Wolf, wolverine and fox pelt handling
- fur grading
It is a free event and everyone is welcome. Learn tips and techniques to earn more for your furs.
Door prizes and refreshments will be provided.
